Big News!
Big news today guys regarding the Future of Nerdy Nuances!
Up until this point I was the only one writing for this blog, one nerd's limited opinion on a world full of nerdy news and info. Now however Nerdy Nuances, will be not just me, but me and my two nerdy roommates all with varied opinions and knowledge of truly all things nerdy. By doing this our info will be more well, informed and will be looked at from all angles not just mine.
Also we will be starting our videos on YouTube Sunday, we will have new segments, old segments, and all around entertaining and great discussions (sometimes heated).
However, with all this in mind the fate of this blog is up in the air at this time, but I will keep you all posted. In the mean time here are the links to all the different sites you'll want to check out that will now be a part of Nerdy Nuances in one way or another including my new blog One Bad Bantha.

Assassin's Creed 3 Review
Assassin's Creed is a series that have taken us across many time periods in history and across the world. But how did the setting of the American Revolution fit the latest game in the series, Assassin's Creed 3? (Warning the review below does have SPOILERS for the game)
From the start of the game you can tell there have been several improvements to the series that needed to happen to properly get the feel of Colonial America, such as weather, the inability to kill civilians, and wildlife. Although these are nice additions they don't add that much to the game, besides one main mission early on, a could side missions and trading there is really no need to hunt it the game at all.
A big short coming of the game is the lack of an actual conclusion to the revolution. you take part in important battles and events for the revolution like Bunker Hill, Boston Tea Party, Paul Reveer's ride, and the Boston Massacre but then never have the conclusion of the British surrendering or seeing Washington become president, it's implied that the war is over but why weren't we officially show that? I know we all know what really happened in history but showing were Connor was when America official became a country would have been a nicer conclusion to his story then just that he killed the Templars he needed to.
The game overall is huge, many side missions and collectables to keep you busy even after the main story is finished, and the environment is huge with 4 large areas you can explore (not including sea missions).
The game play is exactly what you'd expect from an Assassin's Creed game but with a few nice additions such as being able to climb on trees and new weapons and combat moves that make it more diverse then previous installments. However, as fun as sailing looked in the demos for the the game this is really where the game play gets annoying. The camera never seems to be in the right place and the winds and waves change so often that sailing becomes a hassle. Playing as Desmond as well was either fun and unique or a boring distraction from the part of the game you actually want to be playing.
The multiplayer for the game is fun, for a little while but gets boring and repetitive real fast and gives you no benefits or bonuses what so ever, so in the end it just went unplayed and stayed in the case.
Finally the ending of the game with Desmond is very dumb, I won't ruin it for anyone but he was given two choices and basically picked one that will most likely screw over the next game or will make it very strange to say the least.
Overall the game is a great game, graphics are pretty good, and it will keep you enterained long after you finish the game. However several glitches and story moment keep it from being a truely great game.
So should you buy the game? Yes if you are a fan of the series otherwise I'd say just rent it.
Assassin's Creed 3 gets 4 founding fathers out of 5.

Kick-Ass 2 Photo and Marvel movies news
This week we have for the first officially released photo from Kiss-Ass 2 and some news from X-men: Days of Future Past and Amazing Spider-man 2.
First off we have the first released photo for Kick-Ass 2 showing Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes, who is the leader of the superhero group Justice Forever. Do you think Kick-Ass is looking to join Justice Forever or will they end up being a pain in his Ass? Kick-Ass 2 opens June 28.
(Note: Poster is FAN MADE)
News came out not too long ago for The Amazing Spider-man 2 that they cast Chronicle star Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, Peter's best friend and son of Norman Osborn (aka the Green Goblin). Now that news isn't the big until this next bit is added in... At the Sundance Film Festival The director of the film he had been working on, John Krokidas, was introducing the cast of the film and when he got to DeHaan, he mentioned "He's the Green Goblin," and DeHaan smiled. Now does this confirm that he will become the Green Goblin like Harry has in the comics so many times before or was he just playing a little joke? Only time will tell.
Final bit of news this week is that Wolverine himself Hugh Jackman, was confirmed to be appearing in the upcoming sequel to X-Men: First Class, X-men: Days of Future Past. The film involves a tone of time travel so there will be a lot of cameos from the previous X-Men movies. Hugh Jackman had this to say in an interview with the Daily Mail, "Every other actor who’s ever put on a superhero uniform will be in it." Who do you want to see return for the film?
Well that's it for this week's Superhero Sunday, but make sure to like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and now subscribe to our channel on YouTube, we plan to start making videos next week so get ready for that! Peace!

The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey: Review
Peter Jackson has returned to Middle Earth to tell J.R.R. Tolkien's story that set-up the Lord of the Rings. It has been in theaters for awhile now but most theaters should still have it showing. But the question is was this adaptation any good?
The Hobbit is a great movie, however the pace near the beginning of the film was so slow that you could have run to the next theater over watched half of that movie, then ran back and they still would have been discussing in Bilbo's house. That's not to say it's not a good story, it's a great one but don't go expecting the constant action of Lord of the Rings. If you read the book (which I did) before you go see the movie these parts are more interesting and sets up a lot of what happens in Lord of the Rings, but for first timers to the story it might be hard to bare. The acting, costumes, music, sets and scenery are amazing, in fact the movie over all is visually stunning. The only problem I saw with visuals is Jackson's use of CGI has definitely increased since Lord of the Rings which makes some characters look too fake for my liking (Gorkil the Goblin King in particular). The problem with this movie simply is that because Jackson set the Hobbit up to be a trilogy again this one is mainly setting up for the next two which will definitely have a faster pace (I hope). However by the end of the movie it's just as good as Jackson's Lord of the Rings movies, but as I said, it's at the end so just as the plot picks up we have to wait for the next part.
So should you go see The Hobbit? Yes you should, but if you are new to the story be prepared for a very slow beginning for an almost 3 hour movie...
I give the Hobbit 4.5 Dwarves out of 5 if you read the book and 3.5 if you haven't.

More Photos and News!
Hey guys this week we have new photos from Man of Steel, Iron Man 3 and The Wolverine as well as news from the upcoming S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show, a CW Wonder Woman show and Batman news!
So here we see Superman being taken in by what looks like the Air Force and/or Army, how do you think he will get out of this? Earn their trust or break out?
Not too much revealed in this Iron Man 3 photo except for a look at the new gold armor. However, notice he's wearing the armor casually inside do you think this could be a display of a pre-extremis armor?
Finally another new photo for The Wolverine, unlike last time however his claws are definitely adamantium, so was the last photo just a bad angle or a flashback?
(These photos curtsey of Film Thrasher)
Also news for the upcoming SHIELD TV show, the show is set after the events of the Avengers film, no big deal right? Well until you factor in the fact that Clark Gregg will be reprising his role as Agent Phil Coulson for the show, who as you know, (*SPOILER ALERT*) died in The Avengers. Does this mean Coulson was a life model decoy? Did he not actually die? Or will he appear simply for a flashback? Only time will tell.
The CW has announced plans for a new show Amazon which will follow a young Diana before she became Wonder Woman. The CW says the show could possibly exist in the same universe as their other show Arrow and could also be connected to the Justice League movie. Do you think this is the way D.C. should go to introduce their characters in a show leading up to the Justice League movie unlike doing films like Marvel?
Finally Warner Bros. has recently registered several domain names centered around Batman and Arkham including arkhamuniverse.com (Arkham Universe) and batmanarkhamlegends.com (Batman Arkham Legends) so do you think this is setting up for a new Arkham video game or a movie based off the highly successful games?
